Service Description

Thyroid ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging study that uses high-resolution ultrasound waves to evaluate the thyroid gland and adjacent structures in the neck. It is a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free examination, ideal for detecting structural or functional abnormalities of the gland. It allows for detailed visualization of the size, shape, echogenicity, and vascularization of the thyroid tissue, as well as the presence of nodules, cysts, inflammation (thyroiditis), or changes consistent with goiter or autoimmune diseases. In addition, the cervical lymph nodes can be examined, evaluating possible signs of inflammation or metastatic spread in cancer cases. Most frequent clinical indications: Increased neck size or palpable mass. Suspected thyroid nodule. Abnormal hormone levels (TSH, T3, T4). Follow-up of nodules or post-thyroid surgery. Complementary evaluation in cases of thyroiditis or multinodular goiter. Ultrasound monitoring of fine-needle aspiration or biopsy. Preparation: No fasting or special measures required. The patient can attend as usual. Thyroid ultrasound is an essential method for the early diagnosis of thyroid diseases, contributing to timely and effective treatment. 📍 Book your appointment and receive a precise study of your thyroid gland with professional radiological interpretation.
