La ecografía Doppler hepático y portal es un estudio especializado que combina la ecografía abdominal convencional con la tecnología Doppler color y espectral para analizar la circulación vascular del hígado, incluyendo la vena porta, arteria hepática y venas hepáticas. Este examen es no invasivo, seguro y sin radiación, y resulta fundamental para valorar la función hemodinámica hepática y detectar alteraciones circulatorias asociadas a enfermedades hepáticas o sistémicas. Durante el estudio, se examina el sistema portal y arterial hepático, evaluando el sentido del flujo (hepatópeto o hepatófugo), la velocidad y patrón espectral, así como la presencia de trombosis, estenosis, hipertensión portal o derivaciones colaterales. Indicaciones clínicas más frecuentes: Diagnóstico o control de hipertensión portal. Evaluación de trombosis de la vena porta o de las venas hepáticas (síndrome de Budd–Chiari). Estudio del flujo hepático en cirrosis o hepatopatías crónicas. Control post trasplante hepático (evaluación de anastomosis vasculares). Valoración de lesiones hepáticas con componente vascular (tumores, hemangiomas, HCC). Seguimiento de pacientes con enfermedad hepática crónica o ascitis. El Doppler hepático permite identificar de manera temprana alteraciones de la perfusión y flujo sanguíneo intrahepático, siendo una herramienta clave en la valoración funcional del hígado y su sistema vascular. Preparación previa: se recomienda ayuno de 6 a 8 horas antes del examen para optimizar la visualización del hígado y sus vasos. APPOINTMENT, CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY Ultrasound and Phlebotomy Services** 1. Appointment Scheduling All ultrasound examinations require prior appointment scheduling through our authorized booking platforms. To confirm an online appointment, patients must register a valid credit or debit card. Registering a card does not constitute an immediate charge, except in cases of late cancellation, late rescheduling, or no-show as outlined below. Scheduling an appointment constitutes acceptance of this policy. 2. Cancellation Policy Patients may cancel their appointment online up to 12 hours prior to the scheduled exam time without penalty. Cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to the scheduled appointment will be considered late cancellations and will incur a fee equal to 25% of the total exam cost, which will be charged to the card on file. 3. Rescheduling Policy Patients may reschedule their appointment online up to 12 hours prior to the scheduled exam time at no additional cost. Rescheduling requests made less than 12 hours prior to the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation, and a 25% fee of the total exam cost will apply. 4. No-Show Policy A No-Show occurs when a patient fails to attend the scheduled appointment without proper cancellation or rescheduling within the permitted timeframe. In the event of a no-show, a fee will be charged to the card on file to cover administrative and clinical availability costs. 5. Late Cancellation and No-Show Fees Late cancellation, late rescheduling, and no-show fees are applied to offset administrative, operational, and reserved clinical time costs. The late cancellation or late rescheduling fee is 25% of the total scheduled ultrasound exam fee. 6. Medical Exceptions Documented medical emergencies, hospitalization, or other force majeure events may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of clinic administration. 7. Authorization for Charges By scheduling an appointment, the patient expressly authorizes the clinic to charge the registered credit or debit card for any applicable late cancellation, late rescheduling, or no-show fees, in accordance with this policy. 8. Private Pay Disclaimer All services are provided under a private pay / cash-pay model and do not replace a physician consultation. Patient information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy and confidentiality standards.
