BREAST ULTRASOUND
Service Description
Bilateral breast ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic imaging study that uses high-resolution ultrasound to evaluate breast glandular tissue, its internal structure, and the presence of benign or suspicious lesions. It is a safe, painless, and radiation-free examination, ideal as a complement to mammography or as a screening method for young women and patients with dense breasts. During the evaluation, both breasts and the axillary regions are analyzed in detail, identifying abnormalities such as solid or cystic nodules, fibroadenomas, simple or complex cysts, mastitis, abscesses, suspicious lesions, or post-surgical changes. Most frequent clinical indications: Localized breast pain or tenderness. Presence of a palpable mass or change in breast contour. Nipple discharge or skin changes. Monitoring of lesions previously detected on mammography or MRI. Follow-up of fibroadenomas or cysts. Breast cancer screening for women with a family history of breast cancer. Annual preventive screening for patients under 40 years of age or pregnant women. The exam is performed using high-resolution ultrasound equipment with color Doppler technology to evaluate the vascularization and sonographic characteristics of each lesion, providing a detailed radiological report and personalized recommendations. Preparation: No fasting or prior preparation is required. It is suggested to avoid creams or deodorants before the study. Breast ultrasound is an essential tool for the early detection of breast cancer and for monitoring benign conditions, offering immediate and reliable results. 馃搷 Schedule your breast ultrasound and receive a professionally precise preventive breast health check-up.
