Service Description

Doppler ultrasound of the upper or lower limbs is a non-invasive vascular study that analyzes blood flow in the arteries of the arms and legs using high-resolution ultrasound combined with color and spectral Doppler technology. This examination allows for the assessment of patency, flow velocity, and the presence of arterial narrowing or obstructions (stenosis or occlusions), providing a comprehensive view of the peripheral circulation. During the procedure, the main arteries of the upper limbs (subclavian, axillary, brachial, radial, and ulnar) or lower limbs (common femoral, superficial femoral, popliteal, tibial, and peroneal) are examined, evaluating flow quality, the presence of atherosclerotic plaques, and distal perfusion. Most frequent clinical indications: Leg or arm pain during exertion (intermittent claudication). Coldness, tingling, or discoloration of the extremities. Wounds or ulcers that do not heal. Suspected peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or thoracic outlet syndrome. Follow-up after vascular bypass, angioplasty, or stent placement. Monitoring in patients with diabetes, hypertension, smoking, or dyslipidemia. The exam is painless, safe, and radiation-free, providing detailed hemodynamic information about arterial function. The results allow for the identification of circulatory abnormalities before serious complications such as ischemia, ulcers, or amputations occur. Preparation: Fasting is not required. Comfortable clothing that allows for exposure of upper or lower limbs is recommended. 馃搷 Schedule your arterial Doppler study and evaluate the health of your circulatory system with advanced ultrasound technology.
