Service Description

Transabdominal pelvic ultrasound for men is a non-invasive diagnostic study that uses high-resolution ultrasound waves to evaluate the male pelvic structures, including the bladder, prostate, seminal vesicles, and in some cases, the rectum and adjacent tissues. This examination is completely safe, painless, and radiation-free, and provides real-time anatomical and functional information. During the study, a detailed evaluation of the size, shape, and echogenicity of the prostate and bladder is performed, identifying possible abnormalities such as: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Bladder stones or tumors. Urinary retention or post-void residual volume. Prostatic cysts or inflammation. Abnormalities of the seminal vesicles or adjacent structures. Transabdominal pelvic ultrasound is also useful for monitoring the progression of urological diseases, evaluating the effects of previous treatments or surgeries, and complementing other studies such as transrectal renal or prostate ultrasound. Most common clinical indications: Difficulty or abnormalities when urinating. Diagnosis or monitoring of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Pelvic pain or a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying. Suspected bladder mass or hematuria (blood in the urine). Preoperative evaluation or urological therapeutic monitoring. Preparation: The patient should arrive with a moderately full bladder. It is recommended to drink 3 to 4 glasses of water one hour before the examination and avoid urinating until the exam is finished. The procedure is brief and performed in complete comfort. 📍 Book your transabdominal pelvic ultrasound and receive a professional evaluation for your prostate and bladder health.
